Liberty Village Condos: Are They Really "Somewhere in Heaven"?

In 2006, director David Sloma produced a rather unusual documentary film. Its focus was the Canadian neighborhood Liberty Village, located in Toronto, Ontario. The film was so good that it actually received a grant from the reputable Canadian National Film Board. It depicted life in the neighborhood and featured interviews with residents.

Some of them are actually famous artists. Among them there is "Corky" Laing, drummer for the hard rock supergroup Mountain. His other band, Cork, provided the soundtrack music for the documentary. According to his biography, Laing still lives in Liberty Village condos today. Other famous names are photographer Taffi Rosen or director Tim Jones. If these people chose to live there and to promote it for the world, it's obvious that there is something about it. Maybe there is actually something so special as to be considered "somewhere in heaven".

David Sloma was not a real estate agent aiming to advertise the area, but a film director. So his inspiration to actually create a documentary because the neighborhood is so lovely that it's regarded to be "Somewhere in Heaven" is really remarkable. And that happen back in 2006. Liberty Village's popularity was just starting to grow as the neighborhood itself was gradually progressing.

As of 2014, it expanded so much more. It's basically everything it was then and more. Now, as then, it's most famous for its condos that bring incredible amenities. These condos have actually improved and diversified. There are sizes and prices for each citizen who wants to join the community of professionals. Businesses are thriving and there are restaurants, shops, boutiques, cafes and pubs everywhere. There also are web, art, media, film production and technology companies from Canada and the US that chose to open offices in Liberty Village. This makes it the core for businesses of the future and a powerful resource of highly skillful intellectuals that contribute to a better world.

Liberty Village was and still is "Somewhere in Heaven", bringing residents everything they need from a neighborhood and from a condo. The documentary announced from the beginning the rise of a little empire in Toronto. If you haven't visited yet, don't miss the chance to see it for yourself. There are condos available online to view so you can get an idea about how the homes look like nowadays. Who knows, you might like the neighborhood so much that you'll think about joining the community.
